That can definitely sound just a bit odd, pmanack! Let's see what we can do the help stop this echoing. With your phone, please try going to Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Also, on your iPhone 4, please dial *228 and choose option one, once your phone turns back on from performing the Reset Network Settings step.
