Recently, 2 days after a software update was installed, my 4s battery is rapidly losing charge

Also, more disturbing, the phone will not turn off. I have done several hard resets and visited the Apple store and they told me all was normal. Anyone else had these issues? And fixes you can offer?

Did you bring up the fact that according to you the phone will not turn off? Did they try it? Did it work? If they could not turn it off, then I would hope that they would not say "all was normal".

I'm so sorry for the inconvenience, Fumpy! Its odd that they overlooked the fact that the phone doesn't turn off. Are you pressing and holding down the sleep key on the device to shut down? The device does reboot quickly, which may seem like it was not off. Keep me posted if these issues persist.
