Hello all
I got my first iPhone and I assumed the voicemail would transfer over like in the past but it doesn't, and my callers are getting this funmky message about entering a ,mailbox number etc. Some of my friends thought I cut off my service. How do I set it up with a new message? All Verizon says is to tap the phone ap and tap the voicemail tab, but then it asks me to enter my mailbox number. I don't even know what that is. I entered my phone number and was told it is incorrect! Help!

You should call Verizon customer service and ask them to reset your voicemail and help you set it up again.
I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

Congrats on your 1st iPhone, Johnnyharps! I can help you setup of your voicemail. The instructions you received are correct and should allow you to setup your voicemail box.
1. Select "Phone"
2. Select "Voicemail"
3. If your voicemail was never setup it should say "Setup".
4. Select "Setup"
5. You enter the voicemail password of your choice. (If your voicemail has not been previously setup)
Let me know if you need additional assistance. Have a great weekend.
