Sound issues with iPhone.....

My phone rings but makes no sound when text msgs come through. I have checked all sound settings. It does not play video sound or music without headphones. What can be done to resolve this issue?

Hi Dann,
I would like to offer a suggestion to help you with not getting any sound when when receiving text messages. If the "Do Not Disturb" is turned on, it disables all alerts when the phone is locked.  Please turn this function off. Observe if the sound comes on when receiving a text message.
