Theoretically speaking... (new iPhone pre-order)

Theoretically speaking, IF Apple announces a "new" iPhone on Sep. 12th [purely speculated], based on history, would we be able to upgrade to that new model with a pre-order straight through Verizon that same day?

If they have it available, the customer ordering most likely needs to also be eligible for an upgrade.

verizon is usually horrible with apple products on release.. expect to wait 6-15 days

When they announce to my understanding apple will have a different date to preorder and then full release. With theb4s it was that's way and they can always change the date like the galaxy 3 or whatever. Verizon cannot at least comment untill apple has it announced. Sometimes they dont say anything untill they get Email permission.
