I am in the market to upgrade my iPhone 4s to an iPhone 5 for my freshman year of college, but I'm very adamant about keeping my text messages. I've already tried backing up my text messages to iCloud, but there's not enough space in my iCloud. I was wondering if anyone knew any other ways I could back up my text messages or if the people at Verizon could just transfer them from my new phone to my old phone. Please help me, I really want to be able to keep these text messages!

Fantastic question! I definitely understand how important it is to have the ability to retain your desired messages. My sincere apologies that we would be unable to transfer/retain these messages on our end. However, there are third party applications available to complete this task. I would recommend doing a quick Google search for text message backup options. There are a few helpful links as well as recommendations for third party apps, thanks!
