I was a Verizon customer but I am no longer in the US. I talked to a Verizon representative (using the chat service) prior to terminating my contract, and I was assured that my phone would work outside the US. However, that is not the case. The person I spoke to assured me all iPhones were unlocked for usage with a SIM card, but now my phone is locked and I just learned through this site that I needed to unlock the phone before terminating my contract.
What can I do?
I hope all is well for you. I know that using your phone is very important. We are only able to unlock phones that are on active Verizon Wireless accounts. I would recommend reaching out to your provider in your country.
