so i've heard you can unlock your device from verizon... how do you do this? is there a fee?

No, you can't unlock the iphone 4 from Verizon Wireless. It is a CDMA 3G only smartphone and doesn't support GSM networks or any other CDMA network.

You ony can unlock the 4s but that takes 2months of activity.

And you can only use that for international use with an international SIM card.
