I am new to Iphone...I have received a VZW message re:  Pix Place Account.  I do not every recall setting up such a thing with Verizon.  What is this?

You may have set it up in the past on a previous device. Pix Place is where you can send messages from your computer among a few other things. Look at the following link. http://support.verizonwireless.com/faqs/Picture%20Messaging/faq_pixplace.html
