Just got the white iphone and noticed the charging port on the phone and the pins of the cable are very tight when plugging them in together when charging/syncing. I have the black iphone to but dont remember it being tight like this when I first got it but maybe im wrong
I don't have the white one, but my cable is a little tight also. It isn't extremely tight, but it is tight.

I also have the iphone, both black and white. The charging port does have a tighter fit compared to the older charging ports, the one with the side buttons. When I compared the charger's fit to my old ipod, there is a big difference. Rest assured, there isn't anything wrong with the charger or the device. If you feel that it is a big difference, I would recommend taking the device & charger to the Apple store to compare chargers with the ones they use.
