About 2 weeks ago I started having issues with my phone. I would try to open up apps and they would immediately close. I was able to eventually open the apps if I tried enough. Next the apps got to the point where they would not open at all. It would look they were opening and just shut down. I was still able to use my phone and text features, but everything else including the camera was a loss. I was going to just wait it out until I could upgrade, but then it got worse. First my text stopped working and now my phone does not work 50% of the time. I am carrying around an expensive, useless box in my pocket. Does anyone have advice on how to fix this?

Rangerseat, sorry to hear about the trouble you've had with the apps. Let's see if we can get that working for you again. I would back and restore the device with iTunes. Here are the instructions: http://bit.ly/KjoBft . Once that is completed set up as a new iPhone initially and retest. If the iPhone is working fine then restore your backup. Let us know how it works.

Please follow the steps below on how to update. Once Android System WebView and Google Chrome have been updated, please power cycle your phone.
1. Navigate to Play Store app
2. Search for Android System WebView
(https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.google.android.webview)
3. Select the "Update" option
4. Repeat these steps for Google Chrome (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.android.chrome)

In some rare cases in Android 10 or 11, a manual update of WebView or Chrome may fail to complete. Here are additional steps users can take to resolve the issue:
1. Open your phone’s Settings app.
2. Tap Apps & notifications > Google Play Store > Storage & cache > Clear Data
3. Repeat the steps above to update WebView and Chrome
