Will I be able to use my iPhone in Europe?

I'm going to Europe (germany and bosnia) in a few days. I currently have the iPhone 4 with the data plan and blah blah and I was wondering if I could use my camera, go on twitter, facebook, instagram if i'm connected to a wifi network and not get charged extra money? I wouldn't call or text anyone just use twitter facebook, and my camera. Would I get charged extra money?

Try this. Turn on airplane mode. Once that is active, try to turn on wifi and connect to your home wifi or a public wifi hotspot.

If you can do that here, you can do that process in Europe. With airplane mode all the the radios are turned off and you won't be charged roaming.

I'm most definitely NOT a VZW employee. If a post answered your question, please mark it as the answer.

When I went to the UK, I went to settings > network > cellular data off. Only connected when there was wifi (and was rather disappointed at the lack of places with free wifi)
