I have 4 i phones I pad 2 mac books and internet, landline and cable all through verizon. i have contacted verizon customer service I have been to A verizon store and have been lied to by there customer service department. Two of my phones that belong to my son and daughter where severely damaged at a school function. I inquired about having the two phone replaced of which the phones are up for renew in 6 weeks.I find it unbelievable that a loyal customer who has been with them for 7 years and pays there bill every month( 500.00 ) absolutely refuses to help me just mind blowing. I had my mother two sisters and brother switch to them and now will let them know of this. Shame on them they don't deserve customers like me and will be looking to changing to att and comcast for my services.

yes because of a few negative posts. You do realize those that do get good customer service typically don't go around posting on messageboards "Hey Verizon just wanted you to know I get great customer service". Even the company with the best customer service rating will have more negative CS posts on their messageboard than positive ones.

Verizon is not responsible for your kid's phone damage.  Also, with 93,000,000 customers, Verizon must follow their stated terms and conditions for all customers.  You can't ignore the terms and conditions for one customer and not all customers.  Teach your kids to take care of their phones or spring for insurance.

Verizon is already letting you upgrade 4 months before your 24 month commitment is completed, and you want to upgrade over a month earlier then that, assuming the two phones (which you said were iPhones) are replaced with the iPhone 4 seeing as they are free with a new contract, they retail for $449, so you're asking Verizon to eat about $900 because you damaged your two phones, and have yet to complete your 24 month commitment, or even approached the 20 month mark where they will let you upgrade early. Next time buy insurance if you don't want to be in this position.

That doesn't make much sense for Verizon, and that seems a bit selfish on your part.

Maybe you shouldn't buy your kids phones that can retail for more than most peoples groceries or car payment.  They're saying no to you because they obviously can't do it.  The sense of entitlment kills me, you paid for service they provided it.  Make your kids get a job and buy it themselves, waiting another 6 weeks won't kill you.

I've had Verizonwireless for 8 years.  The customer service is terrible.  I have 3 more months to deal with thiem and I will take my business elsewhere and save tons of money.  Before now I was at their mercy because of the tower connections.  Finally.....the other carriers have perfected their tech service.  I will so glad to leave Verizon !

Good morning dupi17.  I want to to start off by thanking you for your continued support over the years.  I am sorry to hear about your kids phone getting damaged while at a function.  Its always disappointing to see something like that happen. For situations like this, it is always great to have insurance.  What kind of damage was on the device? Do you have insurance on the device?

If you don't have insurance, you can take a look at our Certified Pre Owned program.  These are phones that are in like new condition, but are sold at less than full retail, to make the cost more manageable.  For more information on our Certified Pre Owned Program, please visit http://vz.to/rcDvLW.
