The last few days i have been having problems with the audio on my phone I will call or answer a call and get dead air cant hear the person onthe other end or it ringing then call disconnects untill today it has just been a call here and there. this evening its every call haven't been able to use for several hours. sound works fine for all other aps. I have tried holding power and home key to reset phone and even synced it with no fix please help! cant call tech support because i dont have access to another phone
Sounds like there is an issue with the headphone jack , try it in speaker mode
bubbasgirl, I understand the frustration of answering a call or making a call and not being able to hear the other person. I had this issue in the past and was upset because I was unable to stay in touch with everyone. I would like to ask, has your phone been damaged in anyway (physically/water)? This would cause functionality issues with your device. I would also like to know did you try the suggestion provided by the community? If you’re having an issue with the sound, you may be having some defectiveness that we can physically evaluate at a corporate store location or Apple store. If you know there is damage, you can file a claim with Asurion or Apple care, if it’s on your account. Lastly, power cycling is a great way to perform a soft reset on the device. Please keep me posted with the status of your issue and if you were able to resolve this issue.
