my husbands i phone 4s will not update on itunes he cant even get facebook on his phone let alone other apps i have tried and tried what do i do or what am i doing wrong

Make sure all applications are closed http://bit.ly/TomdWF and reboot the phone. Uninstall and re-install Facebook again.
