it seems that no matter where i am, whether its at home or out and about it will not connect to wifi!! this is sooo frustrating

Let's get that iPhone 4 connecting to Wifi! Please go to settings>wifi networks. "my network" (hit the blue arrow) and follow the prompts. Please keep me posted on the results, thanks!

Is it giving you any error messages? What happens when you try to connect to Wi-Fi?

it always says unable to connect

when i open settings for wifi.. local networks show.. but of course unable to connect and it does not give me the option to select "my network"

Thanks for these updates, cdubb88! I'm sad this hasn't been resolved yet. Can you tell me about the WiFi networks you're trying to connect to? Are these public networks, private networks, one in your home or such? The key to connecting to a WiFi network is having authorization to do so, and I don't see that we asked you that before. Can you let me know?
