I have the iPhone 4s and i recently did the ios7 update. After i did the update my iMessage and FaceTime says waiting for activation! So when i try to activate it, it says "Could not sign in. Please check your network connection and try again." I have reset the network connection and it still doesn't work! Its been like 5 days and I'm getting frustrated! Does anyone know how to fix this? please help me!!

Well lets get this phone to work, Gabbierostucher! Just like you, I have the 4S and did not experience this issue after the iOS 7 update. Did you try to reset your network settings? If not, here is how: http://vz.to/16NnPBn
If that does not work, lets try to restore the device. Be sure to back up the device first. Here is how: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1766 To hard reset the device, go to: Settings > general > reset > erase all content and settings.
Let us know how it goes.
Thank you,

I had trouble with my phone crashing so decided to do the ios 7 update. That has been almost 2 weeks ago and I am still having trouble sending and receiving texts from some numbers. I have tried the hard and soft reset; turning the imessage and facetime on/off in the settings, removing and reinserting the sim card, changing my Apple ID, and STILL have the 'waiting for activation' message show up. VERY FRUSTRATED!!
