I did the iOS 6.0 update today and lost all my contacts, bookmarks etc.  Why would this have happened?

Hi Bug05,

Congratulations on recently updating the software on your iPhone and I hope you like all of the new improvements. Now that we have your software successfully up to date, I want to make sure we get your contacts & bookmarks transfered over as well. When updating your software all content and user settings are erased, which may be what happened in your situation. Prior to updating your software did you back up your device through iTunes or iCloud? If so it should be a simple process to transfer this information right over. Provided below are the steps you can take for both iTunes as well as iCloud.

Syncing with iTunes: http://bit.ly/SAPQyj

Syncing with iCloud: http://bit.ly/PUTULW

Thank you,

Make sure you sign in to iCloud on the device again.  Your contacts, at least, should be sync'd up with it.
