I am going though exact same issue.... They opened a case but are not giving me anything more than a "we a looking into it". Today I called them again... same answer again... I am afraid that I will be hit with a steep bill at the end of the billing cycle. What can we do?
Go ahead and delete your iCloud account, if you haven't already, then install Datawiz so you can see the difference between the amount of data you were previously using and the amount you're using now. Then call them back / tweet at them and let them know that you've figured out it was an iCloud software glitch and you demand to be credited.
