I was just told by Theresa code r2604 that the iphone 4 does not work ANYWHERE internationally. I leave for Thailand on Tuesday, and even though an associate in your store told me it would work there, and even though your website says it does, after being on hold for 20 minutes while she went to talk to international service people, I was told that it in fact does not work in Thailand. I'm filing a report with the FCC and will be canceling my plan via lawsuit if necessary. I've been a Verizon customer for a decade, and this is the final straw after a long list of terrible customer service experiences. I'm shocked that the company is still in business as it clearly has no concept of what "customer service" means.

I'm reporting a similar problem to the FCC (Federal Communications Commission), and suggest you do the same.

She is mistaken. it will work there, but only where CDMA is available (Around Bangkok only. The rest of the country is GSM and the device will not work.) If going to bangkok, I would call back and just tell the CSR to add International services to the device.

LMAO!! One representative gave you erroneous information and you feel that gives you grounds for a lawsuit that voids your contract. Where do you people come from??

Just another scam by Verizon. I just had my parents buy iphone 4's and they specifically asked about it working overseas in Italy and the store clerk swore up and down that the phone would work.
Now, my parents a week away from going to Italy find out that this is not true. They say "yea it will work" but don't tell you its roaming only and may not work everywhere.
Tired of these sales reps just saying whatever they can to get the sale.
