instant death

my 4s was doing just fine until about 2130-2200 (9:30 P.M.- 10:00 P.M.) and then it is dead. I had over 50% battery life. I plugged it in with the wall plug, nothing happened. I waited 20 minutes. The battery charging icon didn't even come up. It still wouldn't power up. I put it on the iHome iPod docking base. It picked it up for less than five seconds. Nothing happened. Still couldn't turn it on. It has been +4hrs since it happened. Nothing has changed. My phone is honestly dead. It is less than 2 months old. I haven't even dropped the thing. No water has hit it. I am beyond angry. I don't want to waste my money on a new one. what about everything I have paid for on it? the pictures of my son? important things that I haven't gotten a chance to sync to my computer yet? I plan on going to the Verizon store where I bought this bloody phone. I want to know my options. has anyone else had this problem? if so, what was the solution? Did they replace your phone free of charge?

Something like this happened on my iPhone 4 after I jailbroke it. I don't know if you have tried, but try hold the home key and the power key for 15-20 seconds. It may just be frozen asleep.

Replace it over the phone or apple. They can replace what u need at apple or call Verizon tell them it's dead. Verizon will send u out one. You might get overnight shipping. Apple will give it to you right at the store. Mine was not taking to the iPhone today. Is there a different adapter for 4s then 4. I have the 4 adapter.

Thank you to the community for your replies.

Hello k2290

The problems you are having with your iPhone are very upsetting. I know how important it is to have a working device. Let's get this fixed as soon as possible.

Please try to reset the device. Here's a link to the reset: http://support.verizonwireless.com/clc/devices/knowledge_base.html?id=47670

If the device won't power on and there is no physical or liquid damage to the device. It will be covered under the manufacturer's warranty. Please send me a DM with your name and mobile number, so we can go over your replacement options.

Thank you
