We recently moved to a new home and checked our coverage/bars there prior to moving in and it seemed great- had plenty of bars and calls were clear and no issues. I lost my old iphone 4 and ever since I got another iphone 4 in June the coverage has been terrible inside and out, usually only 1 bar. Every time I talk to someone on the phone they say they can't hear me and that it is breaking up and often calls are dropped. Others in our neighborhood have verizon and they do not have this problem. Could it be an issue with my phone that could be fixed?

emilylaforce, congratulations on your recent move to a new residence. Wireless service can be tricky indoors since the building structure can blocks the signal. However, since you previously had good service on your old iPhone 4, then this may be a device issue. We recommend that you update the network on your iPhone 4 like this: http://vz.to/19w1oOW You will then need to power it off/on to soft reset. Lastly, dial *228 send and choose option 2 to update the roaming capabilities. I trust that these steps will improve the performance of your device's signal.

I followed all the instructions however it has not done anything. I still
only have 1 or zero bars when inside my home and calls break up. Others in
my neighborhood and zipcode (28214) do not have this problem inside their
homes.

Hi emilylaforce
Let's get this fixed! I'm not showing any issues in that zip. Does service improve outdoors? Try this and retest: http://bit.ly/XL5Cdt

Yes, that would be great to have this fixed so I can use my phone for phone
calls. Service is only slightly better outdoors. I already had followed the
steps in the link you provided after they were suggested the first time. Is
there a reason to do those twice? Could it be something else that needs to
be fixed/corrected to resolve the problem?

Still having the problem. Just made a phone call and only had 2 bars. The
person said I was cutting in and out the whole time.

Thanks for trying those steps emilylaforce. Do the signal issues only occur indoors? or outdoors as well? I would recommend a network extender,http://bit.ly/AKkC to increase signal strength while indoors.

It is sometimes outdoors too. I don't want a network extender. Others in my
area don't have this issue. Perhaps I should just switch to another
provider if this can't be resolved.

Hi emilylaforce,
We certainly understand the aggravation relating to your wireless service. I definitely understand how important it is to have great indoor and outdoor coverage. My sincere apologies that indoor service cannot be guaranteed by any wireless provider. However, we do offer great options to help improve coverage in and around your home. At this time, the http://vz.to/IHhMSZ would be the best option to improve coverage in your location. Please keep us posted if you have any additional questions or concerns, thanks!

Well my old iphone worked fine inside the house so to seems to me it is my
phone. We have used an extender before and they are terrible quality due to
the delay in when the other person hears what you say since it goes through
the extender. To me that is not a viable option. It doesn't make any sense
why my old phone worked fine inside and others in our same neighborhood
have no problem inside but my phone does.
