iphone sound wont work

     I can text and hear voicemails on speaker only.  cant make regular calls??? when i turn up volume it has (headphones) in parenthasis but no headphones in and looks clear of any debris............... help? >

Hi Imagistrale,

Usually when you see the headphones in parenthesis and you don't have your headphones plugged into your phone, it means there is debris in the headphone jack. Have you had the phone checked at a Verizon or Apple store?
