i checked setting s all are right.  can i take out the batery/

No, you can't remove the battery from the iPhone.

Try removing the email account and adding it again.  Maybe the incoming and outgoing servers changed on the server side.

I turned phone off for a few seconds then back on, that seems to have cleared the problem. Thanks for the follow up and help happy new year to you and yours. Toy
