not being able to recieve G-mail messages

I have had my iPhone 4S for a few months and my G-mail has been working fine. Tonight, it stopped recieving email. It says that the username and or pasword is incorrect!! I've had the same password for the last 7 years since I have been with G-mail. Anyone else have this issue?? I rebooted the phone, I deleted the account, re-added the account and it's not helping at all.... any advice would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a few mail sources connected to my 4s (Gmail, Yahoo, Exchange) and one of my Gmail accounts does the exact same thing when it tries to check for new messages.  It is pretty random when it occurs and after a few days it goes away.  I would try changing your password on Gmail then on the device to see how it responds to that.

Hi and thanks for the reply. I got the issue fixed!! I actually had to download the G mail mobile app. I talked to tech support and she said that would fit it no problem.
