Button on iphone is stuck.  Wont turn off or on.  It's under warranty but was told Apple may or may not charge me for a new one.  Taking a chance if I let Verizon order one.  Phone in perfect condition otherwise.  Do not want to pay for a new one..

It would be Verizon who would charge you. If you went through Verizon the max would be the difference between full retail and what you paid or $299. That is only when the phone is badly broken like if you dropped your phone and then claiming under warrenty something was wrong. There just warning you.
