My mom got me a replacement iphone 4 for my old iphone 4 but when i go to switch it will not let me. what do i do?

Mowgli98, that is an excellent question! We want to get you all setup with your new phone. To do the activation, you will want to login online as the account owner with the username and password. Once logged in, you will click on "Activate or Switch Device" link on the left handside and choose the line you are swapping devices for. Enter the IMEI or MEID HEX number in the field and then dial *228 option 1 on the device. An alternate method can be done via iTunes as well.
