So I am on a family share plan and i have unlimited data on my smart phone. My mother has a basic phone along with my dad. My question is what steps can I take to keep my unlimited data plan upgrading to an Iphone 5 at the discount price and also upgrading my mom's phone to another new basic phone.
Line 1- Basic phone eligible (mom)
Line 2- smart phone unlimited data eligible for upgrade (Mine)
Line 3- Basic phone not yet eligible
I want to keep my unlimited and get an iphone 5 and my mom wants a new basic phone. Dad (line 3) will just upgrade to another basic phone when he is eligible for an upgrade.
You will lose your unlimited data plan. If you ever upgrade your line to get ANY device you are agreeing to the new terms which will take away the unlimited data plan. It's either you buy your mother a phone outright and use her upgrade for yourself, or buy the iPhone 5 outright.
Use your moms upgrade and get her a basic phone outright because I'm sure a basic phone is cheaper outright then an iPhone. There are lots of basic phones over the phone without a contract certified pre owned. Reasonable prices.
