I bought 2 iPhone 5 phones and I am switching from AT&T to Verizon. My wife is going to be out of town until Sunday. Can I activate my phone on Verizon's network and will her phone on AT&T remain active? Or will they both port over once one phone is activated?
I want to know too.
After talking to two Verizon customer reps they assured me that her phone would remain active on AT&T if I activated my phone first. Needless to say, I activated my phone and it ported both numbers. I'm pretty sure she isn't happy with me right now.
I just tried it today.
I have 3 iphone5 lines.
I actived the account holder's line in the morning.
The 2nd and 3rd line still on AT&T for all day long unitl I actived them at night. (around 11pm)
The porting went very smooth, once I turned on the iP5 and the At&t deactive in like 10 sec. Pretty nice.
