I'm currently in Ireland at the moment. Two weeks ago my iPhone 5s was stolen here and I had to get a new phone. My parents are in the states, and they ordered me a new iPhone 5s which they sent to me in Ireland. However, it will not activate.
I am supposed to have an international plan on this phone- am I still paying for it even though the service is off and I technically don't have a number right now?
Also- how do I activate this phone because whenever I have called the activation number from a different phone or tried to activate it online it just tells me to switch my sim card. However- I cannot because I no longer have my previous phone.
What can I do?

I believe that the device would have needed to be activated in the US first.
But you might want to contact Verizon Global Support for assistance.
