Activation iPhone 5s abroad

Hi,

I have a question. If I buy a Verizon iphone 5s under 2-year contract then bring it to other countries for a time being, can I do the initial activation in that country outside US? Or must I activate only in US then bring it out? Thank you in advance.

The iPhone 5S is a fantastic device! I know how important it is to have a device while travelling. Yes, the device would need to activated in the U.S per its under a 2year contract. What country are you going to be using the device in? How long will you be in this country? Keep me posted.
