I recently broke the the back of my iPhone 4s which voids the warrenty. My upgrade date is in August. I purchased a iPhone 5 on Ebay this week but haven't activated it as of yet. My question.... If I activate my iPhone 5 may I reactivate my 4S at my upgrade date and then get another iPhone (Perhaps the next version) for $200/300? Or does using the phone I purchased from ebay cancel my ability to upgrade. Please give thoughts and personal experiences.
Thank you...

'Bringing your own phone' doesn't change your contract or upgrade date. Just always ensure that any phone you buy from ebay or elsewhere is Verizon branded with a clean ESN.

That's because your contract is tied to your line of service, not the device. However, you will lose your unlimited data in August if you purchase a subsidized phone.
