CC is in a pending status, now what?

Verizon transaction on CC is currently in a pending status, so it hasn't actually been posted to my account quite yet. Do they still prepare to ship when it is pending, or does Verizon wait to ship until the transaction on my CC has been completed and posted? Either way I'm really, really hoping that I receive it sometime this week!
