I am traveling to Jakarta Indonesia and need some advice for the best approach for communicating with my Verizon iPhone 5s without costing me an arm and a leg with roaming charges.
Is there a prepaid SIM for an Indonesian company that can be used on the Verizon iPhone?
I asked this question in a non Verizon board and they ask me if my iPhone is unlocked? I don't know, is Verizon iPhone 5s unlocked?
Any advice especially from those who have done the travel there is greatly appreciated. T H A N K S !!

The iPhone 5s is unlocked. You can use a SIM from an Indonesian company to get service in that country using your Verizon iPhone 5s.
Bear in mind that you will be using a local (Indonesian) phone number if you do that.
Alternately, you can contact Verizon Global Support and inquire about adding Global Service to your Verizon account.
