I'm having trouble sending a text to Verizon customers without smart phones (so it seems). My wife and two daughters do not have smart phones and for the most part they can't receive a text from my iPhone 5. Once in awhile one text seems to get through. A friend of mine who is also a Verizon customer and does not have a smart phone doesn't receive text messages from me either. My sister-n-law is with another provider and receives my text with no problem. She doesn't own a smart phone. Two other friends of mine both have iPhones who I've sent text messages to (not imessage) and both receive my messages fine. I've taken my phone back to Bestbuy and they called Verizon. They said that they reset my account and everything seemed to work until the next morning and I was not able to send the texts again.
