Why am I receiving alert messages about my data usage when it is no where near what it says I am near??????

I have 4gb data plan my current usage is at less than 50% and I am getting data usage alert messages stating i am at 90% WTH...........

I am having the same problem-I "chatted" with customer support which did nothing.  I ended the chat when they wanted me to remove my SIM card and battery and who knows what else.

Sorry! Vzw is having serious issues with the alerts system right now. Earlier this week the system messaged most of the nation that they were having voice overages right now. It will also send out data alerts wrong if you have unlimited data.  It's a known issue and super annoying but its being worked on right now. Especially after most of the nation ended up calling in..lol. I'm sorry that your having this issue It may just be easier to unregister the alerts at this site then just check it periodically during your cycle. The only time thats absolutely necessary to change a plan is at the last day of your cycle.

I am having the same problem.  And I just bought my Samsung Galaxy YESTERDAY!  Today I go the message that I'm 50% into my usage for the billing cycle.  Apparently this is a very common problem and I am seeing tons of posts with the same.  I would just log into your account and double check.  I guess it's a problem with the widget or something.

I also received a text and an e-mail yesterday stating that I was at 83% of my data.  I looked online and it said that I was around 30%.  I then called Verizon and the Rep said I was also around 30% and could not figure out why I received the messages.  My daughter-in-law who is on a separate plan also received a text about overages yesterday.  I was told by the Rep that they would look into it and get back to me.

Have no fear, help is here! We want to help you manage your data usage by providing accurate information. May I ask how many lines do you have on your account? Also, what calling plan do you have? If you are on an individual plan then this may be the reason as to why you may have received the notification. If you believe that this is in error then please provide the details to the questions above so we can investigate.

Yesterday I received an e-mail alert that said I was approaching 50% of my data using a Jet Pack.  Today I purchased an iPhone 5 and have a "Everything Shared" plan.  Immediately after purchasing this phone and adding my new device I received an e-mail alert and text message that said I had reached 90% even though I still show 50% online.  Which one do I accept as correct?  Should I ignore the alerts currently and check online?  It seems the previous problem 2+ months ago has not been fixed.

Ok so my bill is saying that I have used 2GB Verizon is saying I have used less than 1GB and my phone wont let me use any data because it is at 2GB. I have never gone over my data as I never use my data only have it in case I have an issue at work where the computers go down and I have to get a hold of the corporation. New Billing starts today and I am already over on data?! They are sending me alerts trying to get me to buy more data!! WTH what kind of scam is this!
