Line 1 (current): Iphone 5
Line 2 (new): Samsung Note III
I'd like to swap the devices such that the current # is transferred to the new device (note 3) and the new # is assigned to the current device (iphone 5). I've read threads encouraging a visit to the Verizon store-my problem is I'm home bound due to a recent medical procedure, so I was wondering if I may contact Verizon Customer Support via phone and have the device swap processed? Is it entirely impossible to complete the swap online using the device swap option offered through the My Verizon portal?
Both phones use a SIM card - it should be as simple as powering down both devices, and swapping the SIM cards, the powering both back up.
If that doesn't work, a call to customer service should resolve any lingering issues.
Unfortunately, swapping the SIM cards will not work since they use different size SIM cards.
I would assume you can do this completely online with the device swap option. If this doesn't work, a call into CS should be able to do it.
