Do you have to instantly activate phone?

Once I receive my iPhone 5 on the 21st, is it required of me to immediately activate it? Or can I wait a week or so til I find the right case for it? Thank you to anyone who has insight on this inquiry.

i think you have to activate it within 14 days.. why would you wait though?

for my case.. not putting it off for that long hopefully, but I do want to make sure I have a nice case before I open it

what case are you waiting for?? most of them can be at your house by the 21st or you could go to the verizon store/bestbuy/walmart and get one

you have any suggestions on a case? I'm feelin the lifeproof, a couple of my buddies have the 4s and have the lifeproof and they swear by it.. open to other suggestions though if you have the time to reply

otter box defender is what ive always used.

oh and the 14 day thing is really only on new lines if its an upgrade you dont ever have to activate it.
