My phone battery has been extremely terrible lately and I was wondering the specific process as to how I can reset the battery in an effort to make it last longer. I know you have to let the battery die all the way but I'm not sure as to whats next....

There are times where I let the battery go down to about 10% and then I charge it, however there was an article that says that can cause the temperature in the phone to overheat and that's not good for the battery.

Depending on your plan with Verizon, you may be able to take it into the store and they can replace it. You'll probably need to have some protection plan. If that fails, you can reach out to Apple and see if they can provide assistance.

One other option is to backup your phone and restore the backup. I sometimes like to start fresh and just restore to factory and go from there. It is amazing how many apps use your location etc. and this impacts your battery. Also, on my iPhone 5 I used a Mophie Space case, which gave me memory and extra battery life. Last I checked they were sold out on VZW.com but this is another great option. Good luck.
