I'm trying to activate my new iPhone 5c. Thought I did everything I needed to do but it's still saying it's not activated.

I'm trying to activate my new iPhone 5c.  Thought I did everything I needed to do but it's still saying it's not activated.  Also, how do I deactivate my old phone (LG Cosmos).

Congrats on your new phone! Let's get it activated so you can enjoy it. Have you powered off your old phone (LG Cosmo). Have you accepted the terms and conditions? Or made the device switch online?

Yes, old phone is powered off.  I'm pretty sure I accepted terms and conditions, etc. and everything else I needed to do.  I have passcode to enter new phone and get the screen with all of the icons on it.  I can get weather, take pictures, get directions, but can't use phone to call anyone.

Your patience is greatly appreciated joanr1331! Let's get your iPhone 5c activated once and for all. May I have you remove the sim card, reboot, and reinsert, & retest. Keep us posted with your findings.

turn off yoru wifi, power cycle phone and give it a minute

Thank you. I called Verizon and was able to get service activated.
