IPHONE 5 I-messaging issues.

I have been having issues with I-messaging with my Iphone 5 since september 28th 2013 my texts have not been sending imessages to other iphones regardless if updated or not to IOS7 and it seems to be isolated to verizon service phones. i just would like to know if there is something in the works to fix this and if anyone else is sharing in this problem im going through.
