iPhone 5 is already fully unlocked. The reason it has reduced function on T-mobile is it does not have all the bands necessary to their LTE bands. They have added some bands, so I am no longer up on the current limitations. It can certainly get the HSPA+ near 4G speeds. So this is a technical limitation of the phone, not something that is locked down by Verizon.

Not applicable

If I have read correctly it is already unlocked.

I know its fully unlocked for foreign use. I have read you can bring it to T-Mobile etc. and it will work. Some forum posters say it works with limited functions.

Unlocking although having a law passed making it easier still has not forced the carriers to comply.

Good Luck
