Thank you MariaC_VZW, this is helpful. Went to a store and the associate unknowingly activated the iPhone when we wanted to do a swap like the one you mentioned (iPhone 5 for Android). Would you recommend doing the swap online? And if so, how long will one of the phones be out of service after the swap? I've read 24 hours, but also read in Verizon documentation that we must wait until 7 a.m. EST the next day for the SIM to be available for use.

If the iPhone 5 was activated on the incorrect line first, then you will need to deactivate it and wait until 7am the next morning to use it on the right line. Our details on vzw.com state 24 hours as this was the old process and we're still working on having it updated. Let me know if you have any other questions or qualifications that you need.
