My phone was at 97% when I left my home, and about an hour and a half later, I went to check it, and it wouldn't respond at all. Just a blank, dark screen. I tried holding down the lock and home buttons several times each, and there was still no response. When I got home I plugged it in to see if it had possibly died, but I'm still getting no response at all. I haven't dropped it or done anything to incur damage, and it isn't even a year old. What's the problem?
That's a very strange problem you have with your iPhone 5, ambersboatshoes! Although troubling, I'll do all I can to help. An undamaged device that won't power on and doesn't respond to charging may be the victim if a bad charger. Have you tried a different charger with your device? If so, what were the results? Did the last charge (the one that left the device at 97%) come from the same charger you're using now?
