Problems w/ Itunes since iOS7 update

Ever since I updated my phone with iOS7 I have no longer been able to use ITunes.  When I log in the middle of the screen is blank and there are the menu icons on the bottom.  I've tried plugging it into my computer and update it from ITunes on my computer to see if it is a problem but it still doesn't work.  My wife's phone is a iPhone 4S and ITunes works on it now that it was plugged into the computer.  What do I need to do?

You did update itunes to 11.1.1 ?

Try doing that and retry connecting. The iphone 5 has the iOS7 already on it when it shipped. so you had no need to place it on there again.

Your post kind of confuses me. go to http://www.apple.com select support, community forums. Either post the question there or do a search to see if another person already asked the question and received a correct answer.
