Question about switching/upgrading phone???? PLEASE HELP!!

In February, my dad is upgrading to an iPhone 6+, and said I could have his iPhone 5. I'm really happy cause I've wanted an iPhone for a long time, and I don't want to sound ungrateful, but my only problem with it is that it's black. I really like the white one.

Is there a way that he could trade it in for a white one at no extra cost? Or even better, is there a way that we could upgrade it to a 5s for like, a small fee? Like, not pay the whole cost of a 5s but maybe pay the difference between a 5 and 5s or something?

basicwhitegirl18, I am sorry there would not be a way to trade in the device for an alternate color. We do offer a certified pre-owned program http://vz.to/16vfYHl that you would be able to use.
