Restore Unlimited data if I return iPhone5

Hi,

I upgraded to iPhone5.  Of course I was forced to change the data plan from unlimited to 2GB.  I do not use data excessively and thought I would stay under the 2GB.  After 2 days, I saw that my data usage was already at around 12%.  At this rate I would be at 3.6GB in one month with what I consider low usage (no youtube, no Pandora, etc).

Is it correct that i have 14 days to return the iPhone5 without worrying about the contract?

If I return the phone, is it possible to get back Unlimited data on my old Blackberry?

Thanks,

Erika

Yes, if you return it (during the 14 days) it should be as if the upgrade never happened and you go back to your old plan.  You will need to pay a restocking fee.

Did they allow you to do this?  I'm curious but after researching when my data skyrocketed, I found several articles all over the internet and Apple's page about an issue with the new operating system and the iPhone 5 that they can't seem to fix.

The problem from what I understand is that it's charging data even if connected to wifi.  I also was told by a Verizon Rep that when the iphone 5 goes into sleep mode, it disables the wifi? That's just crazy but according to our data usage, it appears to be correct too.

Thank you. I have tried all days to fine Verizon's policy about this issue and can not find it any where. I just don't understand why they don't have their policy return policy online. I bought Razr M and didn't know about the new plan they changing me to (2GB). After a week I received an alert about my usage, I checked for information of this new GB plan and just don't like it at all. So I chat with a Rep online and she said I can returned the phone and have my old contract back. I went to the store right away. I just don't like the new plan at all.

This policy has been in place for over 6 months. And I'm pretty sure you're new 2 GB plan was listed on your contract that YOU signed. You can either pay for a phone at full price and keep unlimited or take the discounted upgrade and lose your unlimited. Verizon really doesn't have to give ANYONE a discounted upgrade. It's a courtesy not an obligation. Heck t-mobile is getting rid of upgrades for EVERYONE. You want a phone for then you pay full price.

Where can I find this policy? When I bought the phone, I thought the 2 GB is the type of my phone. I think verizon should explain to a customer about this new plan to make sure they like it or not first. Or should asked "How much data usage should the customer need?" and which plan is best fix them.

As I said these new terms weer announce nearly 8 months ago made all the major news sources and was in fact hotly debated. Honestly I am flabbergasted by people that still don't know.

Verizon: You can have unlimited data... just no device subsidies

Also you thought your phone as only 2 GB? The smallest iPhone is 16 GB. No offense but perhaps you should read things more carefully. Did you not read the specs of the iPhone before buying? You would have known it wasn't 2 GB.

i'm guessing it didn't work. i'm not positive, but i think once you're off of unlimited, there is no going back. i believe they will say that the plan change sticks, but that you just can use the upgrade later since you returned the phone. i could be wrong, but i'd be curious to see if they reinstated an unlimited plan, because i'm guessing they did not.
