Upgrade to iphone 5 using another upgrade

I have 5 lines on my plan. Only one line is a smart phone which is a droid and is not eligible for an upgrade until May 2013. 3 of the other lines on my plan our eligible for an upgrade but are not smart phones. Would I be able to use one of these upgrades for the iPhone 5 and activate it to the line that my Droid is on? My only concern is committing to another data plan on a line that is not a smart phone. Thanks for your help

I understand you not wanting to add an additional data plan on a line that will not be needing it. As mdram4x4 mentioned you can use the upgrade eligibility of your other line to get the iPhone 5 on the line that already has a data plan. You can do an alternate upgrade, which is basically just transferring the upgrade to another line on the account. Visit http://bit.ly/RiHrRf for more information.
