Use iPhone hotspot for internet access instead of comcast cable?

Has anyone here stopped using their comcast cable internet connection entirely, and just started using their Hotspot feature?

I have tested the hotspot feature, and it seems to work well.

Is it reliable?

There's no nice way to put this: if you replace a fixed high-speed connection, even one from Comcast, with a wireless connection, you are a fool.

Comcast has limits on data usage that are 250gb+. VzW has limits that max out at 50gb, and their 50gb plan is EXPENSIVE.

I use 200gb a month on my home connection, most of which is youtube and netflix. Have you checked your comcast account to see how much you use?

We just do email and light web surfing, so data usage is minimal.

I don't have the exact number in front of me.
