I just added the 25$ global data package to my plan and I have an Iphone 5. I will be in Europe (France, Monaco, Italy, Spain and also on a cruise ship) for 2 weeks and want to be sure the phone works. I can't get a clear answer as to what to do to make sure it will work once I get there. Some places tell me I need to dial something before I leave. Others say to do nothing here but turn off phone and when I arrive I will get a text. It would be great to get a clear answer as to what to do. Thanks to anyone who answers this and can help.

Hello Mcasilli, Europe sounds like a fun trip! To make sure the phone will work overseas, you will want to double check if the International Dialing feature has been added to your line. Since the phone has an internal sim card, you won't need to dial anything before the trip. Once powered on while overseas, you will receive a text message advising of rates and roaming. Here is a helpful trip planner to make sure everything is provisioned before you leave: http://vz.to/1ih0rTd
